How to install Windows 7 RC1 on virtual hard drive

Kako instalirati Windows 7 RC1 na virtuelni hard drajv

Windows 7 Release Candidate 1 has one extraordinary feature: you DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE PREPARED PARTITION to install it! During normal setup procedure, where you boot computer from the installation DVD, you interrupt procedure as it is described in step 2, perform rest of steps, and you will have Windows 7 installed on virtual hard disk.

It is not ordinary virtual hard disk, where operating system installed on it, is running on top of host operating system using Microsoft Virtual PC, where in fact you have both operating systems running in memory in the same time. No! This is BOOTABLE VIRTUAL HARD DISK and when you run it, not other OS is running at the same time. It uses all system resources for itself! There is absolutely no difference in speed and efficiency between Windows 7 installed on real hard disk and this one, installed on virtual hard disk, I have tested it on two computers! Fantastic! 

I have tried to use this VHD file in Microsoft Virtual PC, but it failed to boot. This is proof that it is not ordinary virtual hard disk, which we are using for years.

Windows 7 Release Candidate 1 ima jednu izvanrednu osobinu: ne morate da mu pripremite praznu particiju da bi ste ga instalirali! Za vrijeme normalne instalacione procedure, kada kompjuter butate sa DVD-ja, prekidate instalacioni proces kako je opisano u stepu 2, izvodite ostale stepove, i imate na kraju Windows 7 instaliran na virtuelni hard disk!

To nije obični virtuelni hard disk, gdje operativni sistem koji je instaliran na njega, radi iznad domaćina (host OS). Ne! To je BUTABILAN VIRTUELNI HARD DISK i kada ga potjerate, nema drugog operativnog sistema koji u isto vrijeme radi u mašini! On koristi sve sistemske resurse samo za sebe! Nema apsolutno nikakve razlike u brzini i efikasnosti između Windows 7 instaliranog na realni hard disk i Windows 7 instaliranog na virtuelni hard disk, ja sam to testirao na dva kompjutera! Fantastično!

Ja sam probao da iskoristim taj VHD fajl u Microsoft Virtual PC, ali nije htio da buta. To je dokaz da to nije uobičajeni virtualni hard disk, koji godinama koristimo.
